about.
I began my formal dance training at the age of two, but fell in love with this art form well before then. After years of being heavily involved in competition dance, I chose to focus my efforts on ballet at the start of my ninth grade year. My plan was always to major in ballet in college, so after graduating from high school I attended Brigham Young University (BYU) to study ballet and was a member of their ballet company, Theatre Ballet, for five years.

I attribute my early love of ballet to my teachers who taught me ballet as part of a comprehensive competition dance curriculum. I owe my choreographic style to my contemporary teacher throughout high school who taught me to blend all styles and inspirations into something that feels uniquely mine.

My teaching style is a product of my dance education at BYU, the years I spent preparing for ABT exams, and the two summers I spent training in Milan and Florence, Italy. It was there I fell in love with the Cecchetti Method and the graceful simplicity of technique class.

While studying and performing at BYU I met my husband Joseph and we got married in December of my senior year. After Joe's graduation we relocated to Arizona so he could attend ASU for an MBA and for his work as a civil engineer. I am excited to continue my teaching career in the Phoenix area and become a part of the dance community here.
